Here, the build that I've been using lately and will propably be sticking with (for now) is nothing special at all. I've simply found that once again (as I continue to mention) it is all timing and patience.
Skills (left to right, top to bottom):
Shields Up - Optional
Sprint - Must have
Balanced Stance - Must have
Charge - Must Have
Healing Breeze
Purge Conditions
Smite Hex
Remove Hex
I have an axe with +29 health but there is a sword available that has +5 energy that you could slap a +30 sword pommell on (runs about 70k to buy). I'll probly do that next. I'm running with the collectors Crimson Carapace shield that gives +45 health while in stance and some -2 damage benefits, but there is a green shield I'm going to get that runs about 100k to buy. It is considered PERFECT, I'll have to look up the stats and name on it but every little bit of help counts.
I like the smite and remove hex since that is what seems to cause the most trouble in the run. I don't like running with any enchantments on due to the energy degradation. *As mentioned before this is simply what I have been having success with. There are many other ways to do this and we all would appreciate your advice and suggestions.*
Focusing particularily on the Droknar's Forge run, you would simply need to see how things are done rather than be told. Many of which could be altered to your liking assuming what you change keeps you alive. I'll be around this weekend doing Drok Runs and what-not. I'll show you what I can as time permits.
I'll put some pics up with weapon stats soon.
Seeya online!

I would like to join the running academy! I can do the run from ascalon to LA at level 10 with a W/R (currently lvl 16). I did some research and they have the highest combination of running skills. my only problem is imagined burden. Is there a way to get rid of it with a R secondary?
IGN=> Karno Swint. Pst me if you want to see build.
Also I'd love to see if we could make a "blacklist", known bad runners/clients, with about a month long listing... Great thread/idea...

OK!
I'm gonna do this once again... I keep tweaking my set up and gradually make things better and better for myself anyway. Look below for current screenshot. I discovered I had the +5 energy HoD sword (you can't get it anymore from weapons guy) on my solo monk. I don't do any soloing anymore, so I stole it from him and slapped a +30 health pommell on it. I did a Drok run right after and it was flawless. I like having 32 energy.
Anyway, I went ahead and switched out Shields Up for Holy Veil again and am now sure that this is the build I will stick with (until tomorrow, j/k). It is working great! I'm thrilled to be running without hardly any problems anymore.
I'm still available to help you learn Droknar's Forge runs when I am on. Just message me.
Seeya in game!
(hope the attachment works)

Well, I managed my first Droks run last night, Woot Then ran some guildies with a co runner who'd done it before. Then we ran one of the guildies from Yaks all the way to the desert. Then we ran a different guildie from the Citadel to Grotto so he could get 15k armour. After 5 hours of none stop running and a numb arse I gave in at 1.30 am this morning.
Was good fun and I now feel like I've actually achieved something special other than farming 1m xp and finishing the main story.
Will have a look at using holy veil though...I've been using the standars sprint/charge/balanced/smite hex/purge condition/breeze/endure pain/mending build. Well see if holy veil is more consistent.

Good Job Rich!
Hope what you read here helps you! On the Holy Veil thing, I don't have it cast all the time, I usually only cast it just before I run into a group of Ice golems or mesmers then I get rid of it first chance I get.

Just a mention here that is has been nice to hear from people from time to time that what has been posted here has been of benefit to them. I've had the opportunity to go through runs with several people not even part of the academy and enjoy just being able to help those that appreciate the level of effort required to get through these runs with all the difficulty now imposed by Arena Net.
I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind it, but I supposed that as long as it is at least possible one way or another, I'll still enjoy doing it and try to help those that I can to do the same.
Thanks Everyone!

For all that have stopped by and read this thread I would like to say thank you for the support!
I've enjoyed doing this and hope that it has been of some benefit to those hopeful runners out there.
With all that in mind, I'm calling it quits. All those in the guild are welcome to stay and I'll still be available from time to time to assist those who need it.
~I WILL STILL DOING PAYED RUNS~ So if you need one, just message me.
It's been fun! I'll see you in game!
